Data
The data on the ChemSpider website are sourced from a number of contributors and collaborators. The majority of data were
originally sourced from the NCBI-PubChem website and are made available under the explicit statements and disclaimers provided
by National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI). NCBI places no restrictions on the use or distribution of the data
contained within their database. RSC Worldwide Ltd has abided by the assumptions of NCBI. These are as follows: "While some
submitters of the original data (or the country of origin of such data) may claim patent, copyright, or other intellectual
property rights in all or a portion of the data (that has been submitted), NCBI is not in a position to assess the validity
of such claims and, therefore, cannot provide comment or unrestricted permission concerning the use, copying, or distribution
of the information contained in the molecular databases." In this regard should any contributors to the NCBI-PubChem database
wish to have their data removed from the ChemSpider website please send a detailed request to info@chemspider.com.
Data on ChemSpider, including structures and spectra, are sourced also from individuals. In depositing these data to the
ChemSpider website, these individuals undertake that they have the rights to do so, and that the rights do not reside with
any third party.
